Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress best well-known for her films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She received a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in film, theater, as well as television. Her acting career began in the theater. Then she appeared on several television shows in independent films, mainstream and movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made appearances on BET's acclaimed show The Book of Negroes. In 1995, she appeared in her first performance on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. She has performed on Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise, she's best known for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role on television on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
