Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the teenager age. In addition to BJJ training, she also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd kept building on her win in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She finished all of her opponents in the first round. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her very first professional fight. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to take down McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen then went on to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, but Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round later in the 2nd. She continued to dominate and got a bigger win when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. She also received the bonus for performance of evening. Her first major fight came in her next fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd was the winner of the fight of the night bonus after both fighters fought a fierce back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. The third time she fought on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
