Shailene Woodley is a famous American performer and activist. She gained fame for her portrayal as Alexandra King - a teenage addicted girl on The Descendants. Alongside the highly praised performance she delivered on The Descendants, Shailene has played a variety of roles that showed her ability to play tough characters easily. Shailene managed to get a place of prominence within the film industry at a young age in her career. This is an achievement in itself. Beginning her career with appearances in TV shows and commercials and later, she was able to appear in prominent roles in Hollywood film. Due to her talent as an actor she's been awarded numerous awards, including MTV Movie Awards, People's Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards. Some other prestigious awards like the BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards have also been given to her. Shailene is an actress for several years, however she's also a committed environmentalist. With her mom, she cofounded All it Takes as a nonprofit organization in 2010. As co-founder of All it Takes, she was awarded the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award in the 20th Anniversary Global Green Environmental Awards in 2016.
